My name is Erin and I do colourguard in the Junior Corps. I really enjoy it. The first competition that we did I was feeling quite scared but also excited. As soon as everyone started to cheer it gave me loads of confidence and I just felt so happy! On retreat, I was feeling scared again. The juniors came first last season and we wanted to do as well this year. As the scores were read out my heart missed a beat when third and second place were read out because it wasn't us. We had come first! We were all really happy and amazed that we did well.

The finals are coming up soon and I'm really nervous about that because we came first last year and have done so well this year. Everyone has really high expectations of us and we  have the title of junior class winners to defend!! I really hope we do well as we have had lots of competition this year from other bands. Even though it would be brilliant to win again I dont really mind where we come, as we have all had a great time.
